A TERRITORIAL SHOT.

FATALITY ON RIFLE RANGE. i ACCIDENT WITH GUN (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTERTON, Friday. A territorial, Athol Henry Braggins Morris, 17 years of age, was fatally shot on the Te Oreore rifle range near Masterton this afternoon, when the annual musketry course was being held. It appears that a number of lads were lying on the ground watching the shooting when someone accidentally klckeu or touched a rifle, supposed to be empty, which was lying nearby. The charge exploded and the bullet entered Morris' body. He died shortly afterwards. The youth resided in Greytown with his mother. A military inquiry and an inquest will be held.
