BUTTER AND CHEESE. PRICES STILL RISEN" G. The High Commissioner's report under date ot October 18, gave the price of salted butter in London as 136/ to 144/ per cwt, as compared with 144/ to 148/ to-day. Unsalted butter was quoted on October IS at 166/ to 170/, as compared with 166/ to 172/ at latest report. This shows an advance Tor the w-eek of 40/ per cwt for salted butter, and 80/ Tor unsalted. At the same time Danish butter still rules higher in price than New Zealand, the quotation today being: 178/ to 182/ per cwt. New Zealand cheese has also improved. On October 18, -white and coloured was quoted 80/ to 82/. To-day's quotations are:—White, 82/ to 84/; and coloured, 81/ t-> 84/. This shows an increase or 40/ for the week. Canadian cheese is, however, realising- better prices than New Zealand, the price to-day being- 84/ to 88/. A. H. Turnbull and Company are in receipt or a cable from Messrs. W. Weddel and Company, Ltd., dated London October 22, reading-:—Danish butter, 178/ to 182/; N.Z. unsalted butter 166/ to 172/; N.Z. salted butter, 144/ to 148/. Market quiet. .New Zealand Cheese.—White, 82/ to 84/----coloured, 81/ to 84/. Market firm. Canadian Cheese.—B4/ to 88/.
