OBITUARY.
MR. EDWARD JENNINGS. A colonist for sixty years, Mr. Edward Jennings died at Waikato Hospital on Saturday. He was born at Bolton, Lancashire, and arrived in Auckland in 18C5, when 17 years of age. He was engaged for some time building at Thames, and about 40 years ago went to the Te Aroha district, where he took a prominent part in mining at Waiorongomai. Mr. Jennings is survived by four daughters and three sons.
