FAREWELL SOCIAL.

St. Paul's Devonport, was crowded on Thursday, a farewell social being tendered to Mr. J. Howie, who had been a member of St. Paul's Church choir for over twenty years, and who has recently gone to live In another suburb. Mr. J. S. Fairgray presided, and a capital musical programme was gone through. The Rev. George Budd. on behalf of the congregation, presented Mr. Howie with a case of stainless cutlery and tray. The recipient was much touched by the good feeling which prompted the gift, and said he would never forget the days spent in the Devonport Church.
