HEAVY FIRE LOSSES.
OUTBREAK AT OTOROHANGA. BRIGADE'S GOOD WORK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OTOROHANGA, this day. A file at 11.3 last night broke out in Mr. J. Parry's boot shop, which, but for the great promptitude of the fire brigade and the calm night, would have demolished the entire block. The brigade was on hand in a few minutes, and, with a strong lead of water, had the fire under control in a very short time. England and Son's drapery stocks, next door, were damaged by fire, smoke and water. Insurance's: England and Sons, £2.500 on the premises, £.5000 on the stock; J. Parry, £1200 on the premises, £2-5(10 on the stock.. Botli are heavy losere.
