HEALTH AND STRENGTH.
WAIKATO'S BRIGHT CHILDREN MINISTER MUCH IMPRESSED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The Hon. E. A. Wright, who is visiting; the schools in the Waikato, told a "Star" reporter that in this district, at any rate, there are no signs of malnutrition amongst school children to which reference had been made by certain papers as a condition which obtained amongst schoolchildren in country districts. The children he had seen in the "Waikato were, he said, the very opposite to this, being big. fine, and heaithy-looking. The Minister commented on the splendid condition in which the majority of the school grounds in Hamilton were kept. The beautiful gardens and tidy lawns which surrounded them were a distinct credit to the scholars, teachers, land school committees. One of them (Fairfield) was one of the linest school settings he had seen, while there were others almost equally nice.
