The controlling authorities of public libraries should note that all claims for !i share in the distribution of the £3000 voted by Parliament by way of subsidy to such institutions should be in the Hands of the secretary of the Education Department at Wellington on or before January 1 next. The allocation of the amount will be made about March 1.
