CRICKET.
OFFER FROM N.S.W. SERVICE TEAM TO TOUR N.Z. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. In the course of a letter to a member of the literary staff of the "Lyttelton Times," Mr. T. H. Bosward, well known in Rugby football and cricket circles in Sydney, states that he has communicated with the New Zealand Cricket Council regarding a proposal to send a New South Wales Public Service team through the Dominion. The writer states that such a team could contain several players up to inter-State standard, and they would play cricket of a brilliant and attractive nature. The proposition and a suggested itinerary have been forwarded to the New Zealand Council.
