ANOTHER REMINDER.
ABOUT CLOSING DATE.
And what do you think of "Miss Canterbury" and her attendant? We are sure you will join with us in congratulating Christehurch on its choice, and Miss Pycroft and Miss Mann on their just elections. Judging from the descriptions supplied by our own correspondent, both these lucky young ladies are charming personalities and we look forward with pleasant anticipation to their arrival in Auckland for the Grand Final Pageant, when Aucklanders are sure to do all they can to give the visitors from the other centres "the time of their lives." On Monday, we will publish the photographs of the Dunedin girls selected by the judges, and the four who topped the newspaper voting poll. With so much Southern news, there remains little space for ourselves. We simply remind those who intend to enter, that the closing dates for entries and photographs is October 23, that is, next Saturday. We would also remind all our readers of our new competition, which enables them to try their hand at judging. £100 will be paid to any person who succeeds in placing the girls chosen by the judging committee in the order in which they will stand at the close of the newspaper vote. In the event of no one succeeding in this, £25 will be paid to the'voter who selects the greatest number in correct consecutive order, commencing with number one, and a further prize of £10 to the next nearest. The names of the twelve will be printed on special forms in the "Star" «pAMn e _ci_. g on October 30, when the I/S -wai-be published, and coupons __ *oU w _i p *t ar to e »»able readers to m - «*• for the bert ___. p f the d f zen, ____..-
