John James Banbury (3S) was remanded to appear on October 21 on a charge of stealing at kit bag valued at £3 and an overcoat, valued at £2, the property of J. R. Tong. Accused, for whom Mr. J. J. Sullivan appeared, was allowed bail, £50. THE ETERNAL TRIANGLE. "The accused, who is a married man, reckoned that Crocker had been going about with his wife," said Sub-Inspector Lewin, referring to Hans Leslie Nielsen (25), who pleaded guilty to having assaulted Henry Gordon Crocker in Belgium Street about 10 o'clock last night. "You must not take the law into your own hands," said the magistrate, who fined Nielsen 10/ and costs. IN HOTEL AFTER HOURS. The excuse that they went to the hotel to buy cigarettes and that they were newarrivals in the country, ignorant of the law, was advanced by Thomas Tobin and William SymoTis, who were each charged with being found on the premises of the Masonic Hotel, Devonport, after hours. Each defendant was convicted and ordered to pay costs, 11/. NOT A RECOGNISED WAY. ''It is not a recognised way to collect an account and you will be fined 10/." said Mr. Cutten to Peter Miller, who j I pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking a pane of glass valued at 10/. > Miller said that a woman engaged bira 'to fit a pane of glass in a window.
