MARGARINE PROFITS.
The net profit shown by Van den Berghs, Ltd., the margarine manufacturers of Great Britain, ror the year 1925, ls almost 60 per cent nigher than Tor 1924. The ; net profit was £353.491, against £221,681 in 1924, when the dividend on the ordinary shares was passed. The dividend for 1925 is 2/6 per share, or 50 "«- cent. The amount brought forwa r d was £64,589, and the amount available £418,080. Dividends 1 absorbed £349,596. The r»cvery of the margarine manufacturing company Is,, no doubt, due to the high price ruling Tor i butter, or to the lower purchasing power i of consumers.
