OBITUARY.
MR. A. H. PATTERSON.
The remains of Mr. Albert Henry Patterson were interred at O'Neill's Point Cemetery on Sunday with Masonic honours. Mr. Patterson was born 44 years ago at Devonport, and joined the postal service in 1900. With the exception of two years he was a way with the expeditionary force, Mr. Patterson spent his official career in the Auckland Post Office, and was only recently promoted to the position of supervisor of overseas mails at this city. He ,was a Past Master of Lodge Prince of Wales, E.C. Freemasons. He was also keenly interested in sports, such as > football, swimming and rowing. Mr. Patterson had represented the North Shore Rowing Club at various interclub regattas. His death occurred at the Auckland Hospital last Friday. REV. A. W. KINMONT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. ' The death has occurred of the Rev. Alexander W. Kinmont at the age of 65 years. Mr. Kinmont had retired from the ministry in the Presbyterian Church. MR. MAURICE KIELEY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A former resident of Te Aroha, Mr. Maurice Kieley, died at Hamilton, aged 82 years. He was a native of County Waterford-, Ireland, and came to New Zealand while quite a young man. He went farming at Te Aroha, but had latterly lived in retirement at Hamilton. Mr. Kioley is survived by five daughters and one son. MR. E. J. SMITH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The death occurred suddenly at Karamu yesterday of Mr. Edward John Smith, aged 56 years, a well-known farmer and sportsman. Born in Wellington, he came to Waikato from Wairarapa 25 years ago, and was highly respected throughout the district.
