GUEST SHIELD MATCH. The final match for the Guest Shield of the Franklin Hockey Association was played between Gienbrook and Whiri Whiri, and ended in a draw, no goals being scored, Whiri Whirl thus retaining the shield. Gienbrook had the best of the game and netted twice, but the scores were disallowed on account of infringements of the rules. This game, which should have been the best of the season, was quite spoiled through so much time being wasted, and a certain amount of ill-feeling between several players. Waiuku defaulted to Aka Aka. For the Junior Shield. Waiuku High School defeated Waiuku United by 12 goals to nil. Avery Cup Competition (Ladies). —Cleve:lon 6 (D. Hyde 4, V. Hyde 1, McMiken 1). beat Waiuku A nil ; Pukekohe High School 6. beat Waiuku B 1 ; Mauku 6, beat Waipipi 3 ; Whiri Whiri 1. beat Patumahoe 0.
