CRUEL SPORTS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I quite agree with "Fair Play" that what one person deems cruel, another might not. It is rather deplorable to think the R.S.P.C.A. could not accede to the request re fox-hunting referred to by "Fair Play" in his letter. When I wae at Home, there were a great many people who would like to have had foxhunting entirely abolished on account of its cruelty. By its constant flow and running the brook in time merges to the river, so it Jβ only by perseverance and continually bringing these matters before the public that a deal of the suffering and cruelty which prevails in different parts will be diminished and eradicated. It is everyone's duty to do his or hor pait to alleviate suffering all they pos-1 eibly can. Cruelty becomes cruelty ■when unnecessary suffering and wilful pain are caused to man or animal in the daily routine, of sport, gamee, hunting big game, or fishing.—l am, etc..
