STATISTICS AND SCIENCE. NEW ZEALAND'S REPRESENTATIVE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. ■At the instance of the West Australian Premier, the New Zealand Government has decided to be represented at a conference of statisticians of tbe Commonwealth at Perth on August 16. Mr. Malcolm Fraser, Government Statistician, will be the New Zealand representative.

Tbe Minister of Internal Affairs says that after the conclusion of the above conference, a meeting of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science will be held in Perth, commencing on August 23. During the absence of Mr. Fraser, Mr. J. W. Butcher will be acting-Government Statistician.
