In the Supreme Court yesterday before Mr. Justice Reed, the hearing was commenced of a case in which Ida Tawse, one of the beneficiaries under the will of the late H. J. H. Glazebrook, sheepfarmer, brought an action against Henry Gasgoyne, Howard Glazebrook, and W. G. Wood, trustees of the estate, claiming the taking of accounts, the removal of the executors, and damages for alleged improper sale. Plaintiff was represented by Sir John Findlay, K.C., and Mr. R. Grant. The defendants were represented by Mr. Gray, K.C., and Mr. H. B. Lusk. The testator left, among other properties, a valuable sheep farm known as Washpool, of 2713 acres, to one sop and six daughters. At a meeting of the trustees it was decided to sell, contrary to beneficiaries' wishes, at £19 6/8 per acre, whereas tha property was valued at £30. Sir John Findlay, in opening, said the executors were given ample power under the will to continue working the property aa a sheep farm for two yeare and unanimously decided to do so, but later, through pressure by the mother, some of the daughters, and Howard Glazebrook, the executors gave way and effected a sale at the Government valuation. Counsel's address lasted fotir hours. The case will last several days.
