SAMOAN HOMAGE. PAID TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph—Parliamentary Reporter.) • WELLINGTON", this day. The receipt of ancient emblems pertaining to the authority of the early kingships and governments of Samoa was acknowledged in the House yesterday afternoon. The emblems consist of an orator's stave and fly-whisk, and a kava bowl and strainer. The Prince of Wales drank from the bowl in 1920. These emblems were presented to the Governor-General during the Samoan faipules' visit to New Zealand last year as an expression of confidence and in appreciation of the Xcw Zealand administration.
