The floating crane Hikitia. which was launched at Paisley recently, is not expected to sail for Wellington for some weeks yet. It is nnitcipated that these luxurious liners -will accomplish the voyage between England and New Zealand in thirty days. AYMERIC REPORTS. According to a -wireless report received hy Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlaue today, the steamer Aymeric will arrive at Auckland from Ocean Island to-morrow morning. The vessel, which has TTih.i tons of phosphate for discharge at this port, will not berth at the Kinc's -wharf until after the departure of the Crosshill. CARGO FROM WEST OF ENGLAND. Following are the projected sailings of steamers brinsing cargo from Liverpool j to New Zealand :— ! The Opavra is to sail on July 3 for | Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dun■edin. The Cumberland la to follow on July 31 for Auckland, Wellington, Lvttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. The Huntingdon is to sail on August 2S for the four main ports. On her recent trip the steamer sailed from Auckland on the afternoon of ' June S and experienced moderate weather I to Xiue. which was reached on June 14. I After discharging her ceneral cargo the | steamer loaded fruit and copra and sailed again for Auckland on the evening of Juue I 15. The return trip was made under average -weather conditions. Auckland being • reached about 5 o'clock this morning. Spedding. Ltd.. advise that the Hinemoa will be dispatched for Norfolk Island on Friday afternoon. TAMAKOA AND MATAKOA. It is announced by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Co., that their new 12.300-ton steamers Tamaroa and Mataroa. formerly the Aberdeen Line steamers Sophocles and Diogenes, are advertised to leave England for New Zealand towards the end of this year. The Tamaroa is scheduled to clear Southampton on September 10 with passengers and cargo for Wellington, where she is due to arrive on October 12. The Mataroa is to leave Southampton on November 5 for either Wellington or Auckland, being due to arrive at her destination on December 7. On their Homeward voyages, thp Tamaroa is to sail from Wellington on November 20, and the Mataroa on January 13, 1927. FLOATING DOCK FOR NEWCASTLE. After years of agitation Newcastle is at last to have a floating dock. An agreement has been reached between the Commonwealth Government and the New South ! Wales Government on the proposal of establish a floating dock with a capacity of 15,000 tons. The Commonwealth Government has agreed to pay a subsidy of £135.000. The original proposal submitted , by the New South Wales Government was j for a floating dock with a capacity of j 13.000 tons, towards which the Commonwealth Government agreed to pay a subsidy of £120.000. It was found subsequently that in order to accommodate the new 10,000 ton cruisers, it would be necessary , to increase the capacity of the dock to . 15,000 tons. The commonwealth, therefore, | agreed to pay a subsidy of £135.000, sub- | ject to an agreement being reached between the technical advisors of the Commonwealth and State authorities. Such agreement has now been reached. I ' UNION CO.'S STEAMERS. Movements of vessels under the flag of the Union Co. are announced as follow : — The Maunganui is to sail on her return trip to Sydney at 3 p.m. on Friday. The Kaponga left Napier yesterday afternoon for Gisborne and Auckland. The Kurow was expected to leave Wei- ! , lington to-day for Auckland. She is expected to complete her discharge at the King's wharf on Friday next. The Wainui was dispatched for East Coast ports last evening. The Wingatui sailed for South last night. 1 The Kauri took her departure for Newcastle at 5.30 p.m. yesterday. After bunkering at Newcastle she is to proceed to 1 Gcelong to load grain.
