FRUIT FROM COOK ISLANDS.

ARRIVAL BY THE NGAKUTA. The Union Company's steamer Xgakuta, which arrived at Auckland from Cook Islands this morning, brought approximately 10,000 cases of oranges, 1700 cases of tomatoes, and a small quantity of mandarines. There were no bananas included in the shipment. Mr. Harvey Turner, of the nr=>t of Turners and Growers, stated this morning that the condition of the la?t two shipments of fruit from the Cook Islands was very much improved, the fruit from Aitutaki being in particularly :rood order. The oranges now arriving, said Mr. Turner, were sweeter than those of previous shipments. i
