The following particulars or the loan transactions or the Public Trust Office and new business reported during the montn ended May 31, have been supplied by the Right Hon. the Prime Minister:—
The amount paid o:i' in settlement or new loans during , the month was £230,216.
In the same time new loans were granted amounting to £107,830, making the total loans gTanted but not yet paid £626,323 To this must be added amounts offered being less than the full loans applied r0r—£92,474—making a grand total or £715,797.
Applications are on hand for rurther loans amounting to £660,590, and these are now under consideration. New estates or a total value or £406,553 were reported during- the ißonth also, and accep»ed ror administration.
