OUR FOOTBALL COMPETITION.
WINNER OF NUMBER SEVEN,
PRIZE GOES TO GREY LYNN LAM,
The seventh in the "Star" 'Sports Special's series of football competitions relating to the Rugby games played last Saturday was a particularly difficult one to judge, for the reason that just on 500 competitors nominated the winners of tbe three games, and in quite a number of instances the scores on one of the three games were given exactly. It is apparent from the forecasts that the Grafton team was over-lightly regarded by most judges of the game, and it was in their match with Marist Old Boys that competitors slipped up. The winner, who gets the £5 prize this week, has made an excellent all-round forecast, Mrs. E. Goodenough, of Grosvenor Street, Grey Lynn, is the first lady to win the prize. Her forecast was: Marist 17, v. Grafton 10; Grammar 5, v. Ponsonby 10; College RiHr< 14, v. University 0.
