An offer to the Southland A. and P Association of a fifty-guinea trophy and £50 in cash prizes, to be competed for by the dairy factories of the Southland province, for the most beautiful factory surroundings and premises, was made recently by Messrs. Fleming and .Co Ltd. It is claimed that, if the scheme is taken up heartily by managers and directors of factories, it will immediately add greatly to the already considerable prestige of Southland as a dairying province.
