FIRST LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (Received 1 p.m.) CAPETOWN, June 16. The first session of the first Legislative Assembly of South-West Africa was opened by Mr. Wertie, the new Administrator, with an impressive ceremony. The inaugural address was delivered in Dutch and translated into English and German. Colonel Curtis, the only English member of the Assembly, was elected chairman.— (A. and N.Z.)
