BUT STOLEN FROM HIS EMPLOYERS. PROBATION FOR OFFENDER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHBISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A youth who stole money from his employers and handed it over to his mother for the payment of the household accounts appeared before Mr. H. A. Young, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. He pleaded guilty to each of three charges of taking letters containing money, the total amount involved being £2 4/4. The magistrate said that in the circumstances he intended to give accused another chance. He would be admitted to probation for two years and ordered to refund the money as the probation officer directed. On the recommendation of the probation officer he would make an order for the suppression of the boy's name.
