THREAT TO KIDNAP.

DUCHESS OF YORK. MADMAN'S LETTER. LONDON. June G. The "Daily sketch"' states that a loiter, threatening the kidnapping of the Duchess of York. was received at Briiton House, the Karl of Strathmorc's town residence, where the Duke and Duchess have been staying since before the birth of Princess Elizabeth. The letter, which was written on cheap, ordinary notepaper, and showed signs of illiteracy, was opened by the Duchess - secretary, who handed it to the Scotland Yard' authorities. The latter do not attach much importance to it, believing it to lie the work of a madman.
