WELL-KNOWN TRADER.
1 j TO GO TO THE ISLANDS. With a white hull, and fitted with an entirely new rig, a schooner which was formerly a regular,trader into Auckland under the name of the War Lord, will leave this port to-morrow on an ocean voyage to Apia, Samoa. She has been purchased by Island owners, Messrs. Smyth and Carrnthers, of Apia, and is to be engaged in the trade between Samoa, Gilbert, Ellis, Union, and Wallis groups under the name of Teine Vincula. For eighteen months, the War Lord was lying on the beach at Waikokopu until bcinp sold by her owners, Messrs. Clare and Clare, to John Burns and Company. She was succssfully salvaged and brought to Auckland, on September 24, in the tow of the steamer Tiroa. Since then she has boon in the hands of the shipbuilders, being overhauled and fitted with an oil engine. While the overhaul was in progress, she was sold last November.
