HIGH SCHOOL FIRE.
BLAZE AT NEW PLYMOUTH. CLASS ROOMS GUTTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Fire broke out in the boys' high school buildings about 4 a.m., and before it wis suppressed gutted four classrooms, destroying all contents. The fire is "supposed to have started in the fireplace, as there were lires in two ir three rooms yesterday. The fire brigade attended promptly, but the fire had a good hold upon flooring and other woodwork, and it took an hour to get control. The building i- of concrete. Outside accommodation will b e securiil to enable the school to carry on during rebuilding. Tic fire was first observed by one of the boys in the boarding establishment nearby. Tlie building was insured for £11.000 in the South British, and the damage will probably prove to lie between C.IOOO and £6000.
