The Avondale Rorough Council proposing to raise a Special Loan of £8000 for the purposes hereunder noted, hereby gives notice in pursuance of Section 9 of the abovemeutioned Act, as follows: — (a) Tlie particular purpose for which the loan is required is for the permanent improvement of tlie roads and footpaths in the following streets: Manukau Road, New Windsor Road, Taylor Street and White Swan Road (including that portion of White Swan Road hitherto known as Donovan Street), to supplement .the amount previously voted and to more efficiently carry out the works. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is a sum not exceeding fSOOO. (c) The proposed security for such loan is a special rate of Id in the £ sterling, to be made and levied for the purpose thereof on the unimproved value nf all ratable property in the South Ward of the Borough of Arondale. and the provision for the repayments of such loan Is a Sinking Fund of not less than 1 per cent per annum, and the whole loan to have a currency not exceeding 36* years.
