POULTRY SHOW.
REMARKS BY JUDGE. FINAL AWARDS ANNOUNCED. Commenting' on the utility breeds at the Onehunga Poultry Club's Annual Show. Mr. W. Scott, of New Plymouth, said that the Black Orpingtons were a fine exhibit, the winning cockerel and ! pullet being typical specimens of their breed. He passed over the Minorca I classes as containing nothing of excepi tional merit, but with regard to the j Silver Wyandotte to which he awarded I the special prize as being the best in the breed, he said that it would hold its own anywhere. There were also fine specimens in the Rhode Island Reds and in the Indian Runner ducks and the Khaki Campbells. The following additional awards have been made:— ] Mr. W. J. Brewin's challenge enp and gold med:il. W. A. Cambie (White Leghorn) ; Mr. iW. Mason's challenge enp, 11. Douglas (Silvpr Wyandotte) : Mr. W. J. Jordan's challenge cap. to he won twice. E. Bnst (Black ! Ited Game) : Mr. W. J. Jordan's silver teai pot. sugar basin, and cream jug. E. Bust j (Old English Game), won outright, two I years: Mr. Harold Jones" cop. L. Wood ; iMuflf When ten P.aniami; Messrs. .Tones I Bros.' cup. I. Bail (O.K. Game Bantam): ;Mr. A. Kohn's trophy. 11. Douglas (Silver i Wyandotte) : Mr. R. Gates' cup and Mr. S. A. Wood's cup. E. S. Bycrs icanaries) : Old .Auckland Poultry Chili's £5 prize. R. Hanson (Blncfc Pekin Bantam) : Mr. Maud's trophy, I. Ball (O.E. Blue-red Game Bantam): Mr. E. Carson's trophy. I. Ball (Black WyanI dotte Bantam): Mr. J. Pascoe's trophy. I. : Ball (O.E. Dnckwing Game hen): Utility White Runner, over 12 months. D. G. Cole: Mr. Munrn's trophy, Dorothy Ball (children's I class). First prize and special for Chinese Laneshan cockerel was awarded H. G. Brewin.
