ONEHUNGA POULTRY.
SHOW OFZICIAIXY OPENED. ADDITIONAL AWARDS. The official opening of the ninth annual show of the Onehungd. Poultry Club took , place last evening, the Mayor of Onehunga, Mr. J. C. Covrell, performing the ceremony. Mr. W. J. Jordan. M.P., aleo spoke .and expressed his satisfaction at the 1 temporary removal of the customs duty ion wheat. Speaking as a fancier, his advice jto those who were not yet that way inclined wa», "better keep fowl;."' while to those who were already breeders ie was "keep better fowls." The show will remain open until nine o'clock this evening. The fifth and sixth standards from the Onehunga and Tf Papapa schools vLsited the show this morning, under the supervision of their teachers. The following are additional awards:—* FANCY POULTRY.
