ALLEGED FRAUDS.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) \ PALMERSTON NORTH, Thursday. \ In the Police Court, John Joseph PTan> sen, alias Jim Wereta (aged 2.'i), Neila Marten Olsen V-Vl), and Edith Rosina Smith (22), appeared on a number of charges. Hanson was charged that, on May 2S, at Papatawa. he did steal from the dwelling of Kditli Muggins, 17/ in money, also sundry articles, including a Post Orlice Savings Bank book, the total value being £.'! •>/, the property of Mr.s» Muggins. All throe were charged that, on May 31, at Palmerston North, they did conspire to defraud the Postmaster-Generai of the sum of £15!). Hansen was also charged with making a false document, namely a Post Office withdrawal slip for £150, purporting to be signed by Mrs. Huggina, and uttering the same to the accused Smith, with intent that it should be acted upon as if it were genuine. Smith was charged with making out a false withdrawal slip for £l.i!) and uttering the same to DJuglas Sydney Comrie. The accused were committed to the Supreme Court.
