A very bad habit which is peculiar to persons attending places of amusement —or, at least, of them—is the pract IC e of squeezing peanut shells between the fingers at a moment when a love lyric is being sung or .mart dialogue being spoken. It is most irritating to highly-strung persons, and has been known to quite upset performers themseives. What the remedy for such conduct is does not matter; it nr-ht be good taste on the part of offenders to desist of then- own accord.
