At the last meeting of the Kaipara Hospital Board Mr. Skeltnn moved that it be placed on record tli >l"s appreciation of Mr. N. Fhil valuable I senices during his tor '"ire, and ■ that a letter be sent with the board's seal attached 1.1 . :;>?. The < mover stated that Mr. Finlayson had been on the board since its inception, ' and previously to that on the Marsden , 1 Board, and had been a member, in all, j about 21 years. j In seconding the motion. Mr. Bassett j said he, the speaker, was the last of the ! old school. Mr. Finlayson and he sat ,on the Marsden Board before the Kai- ' para Board was formed, and there, was ! never a better colleague to sit with. Mr. j Finlayson was a thorough gentleman in I his dealings, and he always did what Ihe considered ■was in the best interests lof the board and rasepayers. ! The chairman ( Mr. MeCarroll 1 said he j j had sat on the board with Mr. Finlayson : for the past 14 years, and had always j found him a thorough gentleman, who ' looked after the interests of the sick and afflicted. j j The motion was carried unanimously, j
