An • operation was performed, but his condition became worse, and he died on May 31. Witness was told that the deceased had been thrown forward on to the steering wheel of his bus. In the opinion of witness the injiries could have been sustained in this way. Raymond Thomas Travurza, a bus driver, said he was driving down Lake Road early on the morning of the accident. There was a bus ahead of him. but he did not know that a bus was , following him. When the bus ahead , pulled up. witness stopped his bus because there was not enough room to pass. About five seconds later the bus driven by deceased struck his bus with a severe impact. The bus driven by witness was pushed forward until it touched the rear of the front bus. Witness gut out to see what damage had been done to his bus. Deceased got out of hi- bus and wa; standing along side. H> said that he had been thrown against the steering wheel. Questioned, witness said that he did not give any signal to stop because lie was holding the steering wheel with one hand ami the brake with the other. The coroner found that deceased died | in the Auckland Hospital as the result f of injuries through being thrown on to the steering wheel of a bus. there being no lilamc attachable to anyone.
