Fat cattle and sheep were heavily yarded, and the market eased to some extent for cattle, but was brisk for lighter sheep. Store Sheep.—A moderate number were penned, including some good lines of ewes. North Island ewes sold well, considering their condition. Good hairbred ewe lambs sold up to 33/, and a pen of railing to sound-mouthed hairhred ewes to 33/9. Wethers sold at a "shilling a head lower than last week.
