PAPAKURA CLUB.

The first round for the Ryan Cup was played on Saturday on the Papakura Club's links, ideal weather prevailing. The following are the scores : —K. Matheson, 104 — 20—T8; J. On Thursday last about 30 members of the above club took part in a medal round over a course of 18 holes. The heavy rain during the day made conditions for play very unpleasant; and this accounted tor the rather large scored returned, the best being J. O'Neill SS, Lever 90, Smith J-. Luncheon and afternoon tea weie served during the day by the lady members. lue best scores returned for Saturday's meiUil round were :—C. Wardell . S3. R. Lever 103, Alt. Smith 108, Farrant 108.
