ST. MARK'S CONCERT.

The concert arranged by Mrs. M. M. McCallum in aid of St. Mark's parish funds was held last evening before a large and appreciative audience. The programme included jazz, Maori and Hawaiian numbers by "The Cygnets" string band, led by Mr. Len. Swan, Mrs. Harold King, with piu piu, and poi, sang "Wai-ata Poi" charmingly. Miss Bews and Mr. Jack Gordon contributed duets and solos. Mr. Gordon's solo was enhanced by the assistance of three smart young ladies in a novel march. Two little girls, Varia Andrews and Edith Graham, were most successful in the "Charleston." Mr. Mervyn Adam's 'cello solos were much enjoyed. Mr. Fred McCallum was encored for his humorous recitation, while Mr. H. E. Gillespie had the audience rippling with mirth. The programme concluded with a very clever sketch "Spring Onions," admirably acted by Miss Jean and Mr. Jack Gordon. The accompanists were Miss Tui Bews, Miss Meredith Adams and Mrs. Hutchinson
