' "HOME, SWEET HOME," AX EASY 1 FIRST. "Home, Sweet Home," is still the L most popular ballad among Britons. More than twice as many votes were - cast in the Royal Free Hospital £10,000 I ballot for this song than for any other r; of the famous ballads. "Annie Laurie" ■ aud "Auld Lang Syne" were the next 5 two favourites. , Miss E. M. Larken, a woman of independent means, living in a flat in r Xevern Square, 5.W.5, has won £5000. [ the first prize, by putting the 14 ballads 5 in the most correct order. The second prize of £2000 has beer won by Miss M. A. Wild, of Stamford Road, Waterhead, Oldham. Miss Eva Davies, of Genluce Road, Blackheath, S.E., wins £1000 for third best. The Royal Free Hospital gets about £5000 out of the ballot. "Alice, Where Art Thou?"
