The Hon. G. J. and Mrs. Smith (Christchurch) are on a visit to Auckland. They are at the Grand. The Rev. Donald Grant, M.A., (Edinburgh) was welcomed by the Auckland Presbytery on Tuesday evening. Dr. J. R. Mott and Mrs. Mott left by the Niagara on Tuesday on their return to the United States. Grand Hotel guests include Mr. T Stephens (Gisborne I, Mr. N. A. Can (Wellington i. Mr. i. Hyams (Welling ton), Mr. W. Andersen (Wellington i The Rev. J. A. Thompson (Kaikohe) is to be tendered a call by the congregation of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church Remuera. Mr. F. B. Hale, of Christchurch, Neu Zealand representative for Thomas Hardi l and Sons, Ltd., is at present in Auckland He is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. Penny, of the New Zealanc 'Pictorial News," has joined the orgauisa tion of Messrs J. Ilott, Ltd., and leave shortly to take up his duties with tin Wellington branch. Mr. A. H. Sinel. the Auckland repre sentative of the New Zealand Shippinj Company, leaves for Wellington to-mor row. He will relieve Mr. C. M. Turrel during the latter's absence in England Lieut.-Colonel J. E. Thompson, of Kaikohe who has received a largely-signed cal i from St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, i j one of the younger ministers of th church. He saw considerable war ser vice, and on his return from the fron was married to Miss Stewart, a nice of the Rev. George Budd, at St. Paul' Church, Devonport. He was then calleto Clevedon, where he laboured for year or two, and then left for th charge which he now occupies. He ha done considerable organising work i the scattered districts of the north.
