A CORRECTION.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l hasten to apologise for an error in my letter of May 10; it was made inadvertently. Owing to the cramped printing of the One Tree Hill Road Board balance-sheet, a sum or £6062 8/4 was included in the arrears of rates, which should read £1841 17/.—l am, etc., H. B. DOBBIE. THE HOME FOR BOYS. (To the Editor.) Sir,—Referring to the visit to Mount Albert Home for boys by Mr. Mason, M.P., much has been made of the cleanness of the home. Well and good, but we should have been glad to hear more of the polish put on the boys, of the good meal cooking in that clean range, what they "were having for dinner, and of Mr. Mason eating with the boys, what age are the boys who are not going to school and why if too young they were kept working.—l am, etc., N. PARKER.
