DAYLIGHT LIMITED.
WELLINGTON OPINION. NOT DISTURBED. (By Telegraph.—Special to "S»sr."l WELLINGTON, this day. The decision to cease the running of the Daylight Limited from Wellington, to Auckland has caused no stir locally. In the eyes of one business man, the area principally affected is that from Marton to Hamilton, over which, he says, the traffic is certainly not tremendous, and in which the business done 13 nothing like as great as it is abovp and below those points. The commercial traveller will certainly not be a much affected as may be supposed. For one thing, very many travellers now have cars, and it is the small man who is still dependent on the rail who is likely l to find his handicap increased by the curtailment of his facilities for travelling. It is pointed out that the Daylight Limited made only eight ?tops on its run from Auckland to Wellington, and that this reduced its value to the man who was covering the intervening territory. Undoubtedly it has been a great convenience to through traffic, but this is far lesb now than during the summer months.
