•""■ • POLICE INTERRUPTION. ABDUCTION CHARGE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SYDNEY, May S. The culmination of a five weeks' search for a girl of 15 who had dUi appeared from her home in Strathfield, i n - ear Sydney, was the interruption by | the police of a romance between the girl and a youth of 17 y.^irs. Wljen the girl vanished without any warning five weeks ago, the parents were unable to offer any explanation, and the whole of the police in the metropolitan area were set the task of finding her again. She had been happy at home, so far as could be ascertained, and her disappearance was at first shrouded in the deepest mystery. But the police soon found that, synchronising with the report of the girl's absence, was one relating to a youth of 17, who had professed a fsndj ness for the girl. They linked the two together, additional credence being given to their theory by the fact that tinyouth had taken with him a sulky and horse belonging to a relative, though the latter had not given permission for its use. Late on Wednesday night two plainclothes police made a raid on a farmhouse at Bringely, 20 miles from Campbelltown, and discovered the youth an 1 the girl together there. The youth, they found, was working for a small wage, and board and lodgings for himself and the girl. At the farm the police also found the missing horse and sulky. They interrupted love's young dream, arrested tho gay young Lochinvar. and returned the girl to the home of her parents. The charge against the youth is out of abduction.
