BARQUENTINE LOUIS THERIAULT.
! VESSEL READY FOR SEA. 1 The barquentine Louis Theriault, which ! has teen sold to Queensland buyers, is [ now ready for sea. ! Built at Nova Scotia in 1918, the Louis Theriault was originally intended for the American flax and wool trade, but two years after her launching she was sold to an Australian firm. After making a number of voyages across tho Tasman the barquentine again changed hands, the .'purchaser being Captain A. F. Watchlin, of Auckland. Under Captain Watchlin'e ! ownership the vessel traded betweon Australian ports and Kopu, until a few months ago, when she was sold to i Queensland buyers for use in the Bris-bane-Island trade. During the past three and hall months the Louis Theriault has been under overhaul at the North Wall. In addition to other alterations tho "vessel I has been converted into an auxiliary trader, a Fairbanks-Morse engine having been installed, Aa soon as the present squally weather improves the barquentine will carry out trials on the harbour. Later she will return to tho Albert Wharf to take in stores and oil fuel, I From Auckland the barquentine is to Igo to Whangarei to load 'timber for SydI ney, later proceeding ■to Tort Stephens 'to take in poles for discharge at Kepu, !On this voyage she will bo under charter Ito her late owner, Captain Watchlin, but after discharge at Kopu will commence trade under her new ilag. Captain Airey, late of the barque Rona, has been appointed master of the vessel.
