WO SOLUTION OF PROBLEM. COLLAPSE OF ELECTRIFICATION SCHEME. . Owing to the collapse of the Takapuna Tramway Company's electrification scheme the transport problem at Takapuna is at present in a very difficult position. At a meeting or the borovg-i counci last evening, when it was stated thai no intimation had been received frore the company indicating how it now proposed to continue its services, Mr. A H. Wilkie, suggested that, owing tc the present uncertainty of., transit facilities,, a sub-committee should be set up' to consider the question of adequate services. If the steam trams were taker off, and there were not enough buse; to cope with the emergency the resull would be chaos. In suggesting that the matter shoulc be allowed to take its own course, Mr C.
