In pursuance of its declared policy, the j New Zealand Alliance hns submitted to 1 each of the Candidates the following questions :— 1. Will you endeavour to secure the deletion of State Purchase and Control from the Ballot Paper, and the submission of National Prohibition and National Continuance only, and stand for the right of the people to decide National Prohibition by a simple majority? 2. Will you oppose any extension of time between the Licensing Polls? 3. Will you oppose granting any extension of the period at present provided by lnw between the carrying of National Prohibition and its coming into operation ? 4. Will you oppose granting any redistribution or increase of Licenses contrary to the present law (Section 30, 1910)? 5. Will you oppose any provision for granting removal of Licenses beyond the limits now permitted by lnw? 6. Will you oppose nny increase in the facilities for the manufacture, importation and sale of alcoholic liquors? 7. Will you oppose the appointment of Licensing Boards or other Authority being substituted for the election of Licensing Committees? S. Will you endeavour to maintain tbe pact made with the Natives of the Rohe Potae prohibiting the sale of alcoholic liquor in the King Country? 9. In the event of National Prohibition being carried, will you support the adoption nnd enforcement .of suoh laws and regulations ns will secure the proper administration of Prohibition, having regard always to tho provision of alcohol for medicinal, scientific, sacramental and Industrial purposes?
