Mr. Peters was the first vice-presi-ident of the Rotary Club of Sheffield. England, from which city he hails., and ! from 1923 to 1024 was director of the .' British Rotary Club, and chairman of ! the National Rotary Boys* Committee. : Dealing with the movement, for which jhe expressed much enthusiasm. Mr. ; Peters said it had made more progress |in New Zealand than in Australia. There were more clubs here, and the movfj ment had taken a greater grip of the : | people. As far as other countries were' ! concerned. Rotarianism had gained an !enormous influence on the Continent, so I much so that the next international con- | ! Terence was to be held at Ostond. Bel- ; j gium. in 1927. Great interest was mani- j rest in China and Japan, both countries ' 'visited by Mr. Peters, and in China there : : .were big clubs in Peking.
