ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

AUCKLAND MANAGEMENT. FIRST ROUND SENIOR DRAW. The Management Committee of the A.F.A. met las.t night, Mr. Andrew Menzies presiding. Auckland Artillery Band applied for the association's terms for the use of Blandford Park for Sunday performances and for evening concerts. A tentative offer "was made pending particulars of the lighting requirements.

R. Craston was regraded from senior to Chelsea second grade.

The Junior Management Committee was given permission to raise the necessary funds to send two primary school teams to Huntly for trial matches during the season and to send a rep. team to Wellington to compete for the primary schools' championship.

The meeting expressed Its hearty accord with the Idea to send a high schools team to Otago in quest of the Skerrett Cup, and decided to discuss ways and means at a later date. *

The committee agreed to provide footballs for all teams in the fifth grade. , Mr. G. Fullbrook was appointed a representative of the Management Committee to the junior management. ENTRIES. The following entries were received for the senior grade:—Thistle, Pohsoßby, Tramways, Northeote, North Shore, V.M.C.A. and Newton. It was decided to limit the senior grade to six teams arid Newton was omitted. In view of there being six senior teams It was agreed to make the league competition of three rounds. For the second grade the following clubs entered teams: —Thistle, Ponsonbv (2), Northeote. North Shore, V.M.C.A. t'2). Glen Eden. Philomel, Onehunga, Newton, Metropolitan, Tamaki, Chelsea, lt wa. decided to play the grade In two divisions of eight and sis teams respectively. Eighteen teams were entered iii the third grade and it wag agreed lo piay t'*vj divisions, the number of teams in each being- left to the Ground Committee. Milford and Mount Albert arc new entries In the third grade. Ponsonby and V.M.C.A. were granted permission to play their first, second and third grade games on Victoria Pari; next. Saturday. SENIOR DRAW. Tlie senior draw for the first round was made as follows :— First Series. —Thistle v. North Shore, Ponsonby v. Northeote, Tramways v. V.M.C.ASecond Series. —Thistle v. Ponsonby, Northeote v. Tramways, North Shore v. V.M.C.A. Third Series.—Thistle v. Northeote, V.M.C.A. v. Ponsonby, Tramwars v. North Shore. Fourth Series.—thistle v. V.M.C.A.. No-th-cotn v. North Sliore, Tramways v. I'utssonbv. Fifth Series.-—V.M.C.A. v. Northeote, North Shore v. Ponsonby, Thistle v. Traaiwnys. It was decided to open the senior torapetition on April 17, the mutches being arranged thus:—Thistle v. Nortli Shore, Blandford Park, 2 p.m.: Tramways v. V.M.C.A., Blandford Park. 3.30 p.m. ; Ponsonby v. Northeote, Domain. 3.30 p.m. Referees will be announced later as also will the draws of the second and third grades. JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. The Junior Management Committee met last night, Mr. P. M. Ritchie presidio;?. The committee discussed the question of expeditiously obtaining results for tabulation and record purposes. It Was decided that Mr. R. M. Beswlek be appointed results secretary, and a system was outlined for the reception by the secretary of the results of all games played oh Saturdays under the- committee's auspices by QrSt post on Monday mornlugs. Various other matters of detail were gone into.
