NEW LODGES

MASTERTON, Monday

The biennial conference of the executive of the Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, New Zealand, was held heir, during the weekend, delegates being present from Auckland, Palmerston North, Christchurch and Dunedin.

The report showed an increase in the eick and funeral fund for the year of fISOO. Sixteen new lodges were established during the year. The total surplus in the sick and funeral fund is £39,423, and in consequence of this it is proposed to increase the benefits to members.
