B.S.A. Motor Cycles continue to compete successfully in speed and reliability trials in every part of the world. Below are listed a few of B.S.A. recent successes overseas." ENGLAND— London-Gloucester-London Reliability Trial December 12tH, 1925.—The nine B.S.A. Motor Cycles 'entered for this event gained eight silver cups—premier awards—and one minor honour. The prizes awarded to B.S.A. riders included the Expert's Cup and the Novices' Cup. London-Exeter-London Reliability Trial, December 29th, 1925-—Of the fourteen entrants riding B.S.A. Motor Bicycles—all finished the course to schedule—ten gained premier honours (gold medals) and three silver medals. This competition, recognised as the most strenuous English Winter Reliability Trial, was held under atrocious conditions, as the roads were covered with snow of a depth of 6-12 inches in most places; the route, both outwards and inwards, traversed Salisbury Plain, and many difficult gradients such as the notorious Marlpits and White Sheet Hills, were encountered. EGYPT— Cairo Motor Cycle Club's Speed Trials, December 26th, 1925.—Mr. Shepherd, riding a 4.93 h.p. B.S.A. Motor Bicycle, won two speed events; he also made the best time of the day. SPAIN— Cataluna Royal Motor Cycle Club Championship.—This Championship was won by the owner of a B.S.A. Motor Cycle (Touring Model), who obtained all his successes on this machine. The last race in the Championship Test was a Flying Kilometre Race, and this the B.S.A. rider won at an average speed of 95 kilometres per hour (60 m.p.h.). CZECHOSLOVAKIA— 1,000 Kilometres Reliability Trial.—The five B.S.A. Motor j Cycles which entered gained five gold medals (the premier . awards), and, in addition two of the B.S.A. riders were awarded silver cups for specially meritorious performances. HOLLAND— Reliability Trial for the Championship of Holland.—There were fifty-six entrants in this competition, and only twelve finished of which four were B.S.A. riders, three being mounted on B.S.A. 3.49 h.p. o.h.v. Motor Bicycles, and one on a B.S.A. 4.93 h.p. machine. It is worthy of special note that the B.S.A. team was the only team to be awarded a team prize. The 3.49 h.p. machines finished second, third and fifth in the whole trial, while the 4.93 h.p. machine came i third in the 1000 c.c. class.
