AMUSEMENTS.

FULLERS' OPERA HOUSE.

The Moon and Morris nevue Company appeared Tor the huge dtvertisement of a particularly large Holiday audience at the Opera House last evening- in "My Mountain Maid," a bright musical farce, written and produced by Mr. Edward Warrlngton. The story is about a girl who is Held for ransom in a brigand's camp in a mountain fastness, Mr. Sydney Burchall enacting well the role of Carlos, the brigand chief. George Moon is really funny, decked out in Swiss mountaineering costume, and as a mirth provoker he is excellent. As is always the case with Warrington-made revues, there 13 an abundance or vocal numbers in "The Mountain Maid," the voices of Mr. Burchall and Miss Ena Gordon, who took the part of Marcheta, the captive English girl, blending- nicely in several specially selected songs. Miss Nell Fleming, a3 Wendy Farrington, the English tourist, did well. There is a snap about the whole production, and an atmosphere of irresponsible vivacity. This week's piece is one of the best that this company has presented here. One must not forget to mention the girls or the ballet. Draped in what might be described as whlsps of pure art, they dance joyously. Franks and rvewton, society dancers, made their ilrst appearance, and were well received by those in front. After giving exhibitions of various ballroom dance?, the pair presented a novelty number, in which classic, ballroom, ballet, and acrobatic dancing was shown. Ronnie Whelan, another newcomer, was popular last night, lie sang comc-dy numbers, and worKed'ofT several good epiips and gags and new jokes about a rprtain well-known motor car. Florence and Clifton, comedy gmyuasts, commenced their second week. Clifton again amu?ed and thrilled tlie audience with his performances on the roman rings and horizontal bar. Bert Elliott performed some surprising feats of juggling with silk hats and cigar boxes, his clever subdued corned}' keeping all present in a simmer or merriment. The same bill or rare will be presented until Saturday, with matinees to-morrow and on Saturday arternoons.
